My Statue

My statue’d be a man in debt,

Or worse, a man in chains.

Lacking of all merriment,

Yet laughing in his brain.

I think a dismal man would do,

Some poor, miserable guy,

So when people look at my statue

They say “At least I’m not that guy.”

  1. He seems familiar, that poor guy,
    I trust him, surely,
    He just don’t lie.
Come on, a beer will do us good,
Let’s amble out, explore the hood.
